- Standard domestic voltage in India is 220 V. Carry adapter plugs for electronic equipment, which requires to be plugged in or charged.

- International credit cards are accepted at all hotels, and most shops and tourist destinations. You'll find MasterCard, Visa, Diners and American Express accepted widely.
- Use only authorized moneychangers to exchange your money.

Climate
- The Indian weather ranges from extremely hot to severely cold in North India. South India has more moderate temperature all year round. Always carry sunscreen lotion, a wide-brimmed hat or scarf and sunglasses. Comfortable cotton clothes are best for summer. Warm clothing is required in winter in north India, though the days are sunny and warm.
Car Rentals
- Rental cars and taxis are readily available across India. It is best to decide the fare in advance before setting out on a trip.
- Vehicles drive on the left side of the road in India. Traffic in India is often chaotic with animals, cyclists, cars, trucks, buses and pedestrians on the road together. If you have an international driver's license you can drive a car in India.
Departure Tax
- There is currently a departure tax of INR 500 to be paid at the airport, before leaving India.
