to the 18th century to early 20th century, the haveli frescoes
narrate a different form of arts that flourished here. Mythological
stories, animals, legends and scenes from battlefield are the
most common features of the colourful frescoes here whereas
in the later years the frescoes were depicting the arrival of
British and also locomotive engines and trains. The unique architectural
style of the Shekhawati mansions with enveloped courtyards makes

Apart from frescoed havelis and mansions, Shekhawati is also
studded with a number of colossal forts, mosques, step wells,
