Rakhi is also known as the bond of protection. The festival of 'Raksha Bandhan’ is very sig nificant for all Indian families.
The ritual of Rakhi is practiced on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravan (mid of July to mid of August). On this occasion sisters tie the sacred Rakhi string on their brothers' right wrists, and pray for their long life. In return brother give Rakhi gifts to their sisters and promises to protect them from all evils always.
