Teej Festival Rajasthan Tour

Teej festivalThe festival of Kajli Teej begins with the march of Goddess Teej in an elaborately embellished palanquin from the naval Sagar. The procession of Goddess Teej goes by the main bazaars and terminates at Azad Park. This religious march has decorated elephants, camels, bands, performers, artists and colorfully clothed people.

The people gather here from surrounding areas to watch the performers perform several cultural activities. They also sometimes participate in the cultural programmes that are organised in the evenings here.

The Kajli Teej is a very good time to see the cultural performance by local artists from Hadoti region. The major function of Teej is held only on two days, but the celebrations continue up to Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna.enquiry
